Albert Henry "Hank" Karr, Jr. passed away Wednesday evening, July 4, 2018 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Daniel Ingram officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Albert Henry Karr, Jr. was born December 5, 1943 in Altus, Oklahoma to Albert Henry and Betty Lou (Talkington) Karr. He attended Altus Public Schools and continued his education later at WOSC in Altus. Hank was in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He then worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Hank married Dee Ann Mullins September 3, 1978 in Kingston, Oklahoma. He was a firearms expert and served the State of Oklahoma with the Department of Corrections as a firearms instructor at the Granite Reformatory. Hank also served as a Reserve Deputy for the Greer County Sheriff's Office. He enjoyed firearms, hunting, fishing, ATV riding and spending time with his family and friends.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Dee Ann, of the home; son, Albert Henry "Bert" Karr, III; two daughters, Cyndi Arbuckle and husband, Kelly; Kris Andrews and husband, Dee; brother, Jess Karr; two sisters, Karmen Willis and husband, Gawain; Kathy Boydston and husband, Glenn and many friends.
The Karr family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday evening at Kincannon Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the NRA.org
