Alexander Aresis Bowen

Alexander Aresis Bowen, 66, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, in Oklahoma City. A remembrance service is scheduled for 10:00 AM - Noon on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Altus Centennial Memorial Chapel in the Altus City Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

 Alexander was born on February 12, 1958, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Alto B. Sr. and Rosa Lee (Netherland) Bowen. He was raised in Muskogee and after high school graduation Alexander attended college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Alexander married Ms. Claudette Scoggin in Wichita, Kansas. He served his country faithfully with an enlistment in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hands-on, DIY projects and was an avid reader. In addition to reading newspapers and novels, The Economist was a favorite. He also enjoyed reading anything related to sci-fi, inventions, electrical engineering and track & field.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alto and Rosa Lee. Those left to honor Alexander’s memory are his wife of 41 years, Claudette; children, Trevor and Alexandra; and his seven siblings.
