Alfred L. Allen

Alfred L. Allen, 81, Altus, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Altus. Cremation services have been provided by Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The Allen family will host a private family memorial at a later date and his cremated remains will be inurned in the family plot at the Altus City Cemetery.

Alfred Lee Allen was born December 10, 1933 in Altus, Oklahoma to Hogy and Ruth (Britton) Allen. He attended Altus Public Schools and enlisted in the United States Army in June of 1956 when he served in Korea. Alfred was honorably discharged in May of 1958 and then served in the U. S. Army Reserves until June of 1962. He worked as a printer for various papers including Altus, Lawton, Hollis and Clinton. Alfred was also a crossword puzzle enthusiast and enjoyed the company of his many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Grady, Glendon and Alvin Allen; and his sister, Mildred Elder. He is survived by his brother, Donald Bob Allen and numerous nieces, nephews and numerous other family members.
