Alva Sue Williamson

Alva Sue Williamson, 74, Altus, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Tom Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Alva Sue Hailes was born on August 12, 1936 in Bakersfield, California to Willie Ray and Ruby (Hunter) Hailes. She married R. D. Williamson on November 15, 1951 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was a homemaker and loved painting portraits. Alva was a member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ. Her parents, two sons, Lannie Ray and Kevin Bruce Williamson, and two sisters, Dorothy Cone and Billie Izquierdo, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Dr. Melinda Powers and husband, Mack, of Altus, OK, and Jillynn Hailes of Houston, TX; two sons, Rodney Williamson and wife, Catrennia, of Lubbock, Texas, and Gregory Williamson of Snyder, TX; 12 grandchildren, Jason Williamson of California, Carrie Hart of Houston, TX, Kathryn Austin and husband, Jerry, of Houston, TX, Stephanie Powers of Altus, OK, Kevin Bruce Williamson, Jr. of Lubbock, TX, Randy Williamson of Dallas, TX, Adam Powers and wife, Cerise, of Lubbock, TX, Michael Powers of Altus, OK, Laura Powers of Altus, OK, and Megan, Gabriel and Emma Grace Williamson, all of Snyder, TX; and three great-grandchildren, Jason Williamson, Jr., Jackson Austin, and Calledyn Powers.
