Amanda Lee Emerson, 51, of Blair, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 30th in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Willie Jack Doyeto officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Amanda was born on May 2, 1971 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Raul Reta and Sandra (York) Womack. She was a direct descendant of Set’tainte (White Bear) and Dohäsan of the Kiowa Tribe as well as the Choctaw and Cherokee Tribes. She grew up in Lawton, later attending school in St. Peters, Missouri. She relocated to Arizona to obtain a bank teller certificate before moving back to Missouri. In 2009 she moved to Altus where she met her husband, Robert Earl Emerson. They married on September 3, 2010 in Mangum and made their home north of Blair. Amanda worked in social services at Cornerstone Counseling Center in Lawton and as an office manager. She was a great mother! She was well organized and very intelligent. She enjoyed camping and her unusual house projects and home décor. She was exceptionally proud of her heritage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; maternal grandparents, Lee York, Jr. and Betty; paternal grandparents, Marcelo Reta and Maria; aunts, Charlotte (York) Kaulaity, Mildred (York) Alisa; uncle, Daniel Lee York; and cousins, Sean A. Zotigh, Emily Lowery and Harlee Bigger.
Those left to honor Amanda’s memory are her daughters, Maranda Watkins and Haley Emerson; sons, Evan Cottrell and partner, Felina Garrison, Eric Cottrell and partner, Kayla Folmar, and their father, John Cottrell, and Kobie Emerson; father, Raul Reta and wife, Barbara McCain; mother, Sandra Womack; siblings, William Womack and wife, Monica Menke, Ryan Womack, Bryan Womack, Nathan Womack, Moses Reta and Shanna Reta; grandchildren, Darian Cottrell, Audrey Cottrell, Lennon Garrison, and Braxton McLaurin; five aunts; three uncles; special friend, Shawn Woods; and a host of family and friends.
