Andrea Carlucci, 89, Brooklyn, New York, passed away at his home in Brooklyn. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in the Centennial Memorial Chapel at the Altus City Cemetery with Deacon Eulis Mobley officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Coordination with the New York City Medical Examiner's office, airline transportation and local services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Andrea Carlucci was born November 14, 1927 to Nicola and Lena (Magdolian) Carlucci in Queens, New York. He graduated high school in Queens, New York and continued his education, attaining an Associate's Degree in Art at New York City University. He served his country in the Army Air Force from January 1946 until his honorable discharge in April of 1947. Andrea worked and retired from the City of New York as a security guard in the City Transportation Department. He spent his retirement years living on Coney Island, traveling both home and abroad, and appreciating fine art.
Mr. Carlucci was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Carlucci. He is survived by his brother, Fred Carlucci and wife, Virginia; niece, Virginia Hovda and husband, Ron; nephew, Nick Carlucci and wife, Sheryl; and a host of great nieces, great nephews and friends from Coney Island, Brooklyn, Queens and New York City.
