Angelina "Angie" Melgosa, 68, Altus, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Osvaldo Rosado officiating. Burial will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Angelina Alaniz was born to Juan and Eulalia (Rojas) Alaniz on May 31, 1951 in San Benito, Texas. Angie grew up in Chicago Heights, IL and later raised her children in Galesburg, IL, finally moving to Altus in 2011. She was a sister, wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother in her life. She enjoyed singing, watching movies, attending church and decorating for the holidays. She loved spending time with family and friends.
Angie is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Tomas Alaniz, and a sister, Paula Mesa. She leaves behind three children, Anita Melgosa, Angelica Mabon and husband Willie, and Santino Melgosa; a grandson, Javae Mabon; the father of her children, Phillip Melgosa; siblings, Juan Felipe Alaniz, Hugo Alaniz and wife, Judy, Dora Bernal and husband, Macario, and Ruben Alaniz and wife, Ortensia; and many other family members and friends.
The Melgosa family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Kincannon Funeral Home.
