Annie Langlade English, 69, of Altus, OK, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. There will be a reception in honor of Ms. English from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Kincannon Funeral Home hosted by her family. Annie was born on September 11, 1941 in France to Pierre Maurice and Lea Camille (Chatel) Langlade. She began a career with the civil service in 1981 and worked as a contracting officer for the United States Air Force for twenty – four years. This career took her to such places as Comiso, Italy, Germany, Minneapolis, MN, Biloxi, MS and Altus, OK, where she retired in 2008. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, quilting, gourmet cooking, and reading. She was a naturalist who loved animals. She was a dignified woman and a wonderful mother. Ms. English was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son, Thomas English, III of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Trevor Austin English, of Altus, OK; one granddaughter, Briana Julene English of Altus, OK; two great-grandchildren, Tucker and Emma; two sisters, Elizabeth Odele Langlade Rollo and husband, Pierre, of Paris, France, and Jeanne Marie Langlade Dang and husband, Binh Lieng, of Paris, France; and one brother, Jean Pierre Langlade and wife, Alice Troweur, of Brittany, France.
