Anthony Blake Almaguer was welcomed into this world in Altus, Oklahoma on September 28,1984 to Tony and Sherri (Stegall) Almaguer. Blake was the first grandchild on both sides which meant lots of undivided attention from his parents, grandparents, great grandparents, a great great grandmother and all his uncles. At an early age the creative side of Blake appeared. His first artist endeavor was tracing ninja turtles and drawing sports figures. His love of many art mediums increased in High school as his talent and love of art grew. Blake won numerous awards for his art including a “nature works “ show in Tulsa, GI Forum in Lawton with his entry of “If we only Knew”, Chickasha Sidewalks Chalk contest. Other awards were earned from Masonic Lodge and the Boy Scouts. He painted several backdrops and murals for High School plays and businesses. Blake began grade school in Hollis Ok, then continued at Altus where he attended Roosevelt Elementary, middle school, Jr High and Altus High School, from which he graduated in 2003, with honors. He continued his education at WOSC in Altus, SWOSU in Weatherford and OCCC in Oklahoma City. Blake had a hidden talent for writing. He and a classmate wrote skits for assemblies and pep rallies and did the morning radio show highlighting the daily school events.
Anyone who knew Blake knew of his love of sports. He played basketball, baseball, and even tried his hand at football for a time. He was on the City League All Star team and was on numerous championship baseball teams. He was an avid OU fan, loved the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland A’s and Oklahoma City Thunder. Growing up Blake loved riding motorcycles with his brothers, cousins and friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping and kneeboarding with his family and friends. Cooking was another talent he possessed. Everything he cooked was done with his own flair. He could cook a Thanksgiving dinner that would make his Granny Stegall proud. When his Papa became ill, he stepped up to help take care of him. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and helped coach a Tball team for his nephew, Kaisen. Blake had his own art business “Branded Creative” and published his adult coloring book “Harmon County Forward” with his art designs.

Blake was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Paul Almaguer Sr and James Stegall; grandparents, Claude and Ruth Ross; and three uncles, Paul Almaguer, Bryan Stegall and Scott Ross.
He is survived by his parents, Sherri and Steve Ross of Altus; Tony and Julie Almaguer of Watonga; three brothers, Brady Almaguer of Cherokee, OK; Chris Ross of Altus, OK; and Bryan Ross and wife, Emily, of Blair, OK; four sisters, Maddy Almaguer of Watonga, OK; Jeniffer Kelly and husband, Daryl, of Elk City, OK; Sara Phillips and husband, Dave, of Watonga, OK; Jamie Pearson and husband, Rob, of Norman, OK; grandmothers Stella Almaguer, Lola Wilson and Bonnie Stegall; uncles, Eddie, Jerry and Adam Almaguer; several special nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Talia Case.
