Antonio Reyes Gaytan, 68, Altus, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Carlos Moreno officiating. Burial will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Antonio was born on November 7, 1953 in Villa Aurora, Pabellon, Aguascalientes, Mexico to Modesto Reyes and Victoriana Gaytan. He married Lucila Peralta on February 5, 1972 in Carboneras, Aguascalientes, Mexico. Antonio was a rancher all his life and had worked for the Winsett family for over 30 years. Antonio enjoyed listening to music, ranch work, shooting his guns and taking care of farm animals.
He was preceded in death by parents, Modesto and Victoriana; a sister-in-law, Olivia Jaime Servantes; and his boss, Wayne Q. Winsett.
Antonio is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lucila; daughter, Nora Hilda Reyes Peralta of Altus; sons, Juan Modesto Reyes Peralta of Mexico, Jose Benito Reyes Peralta and wife, Carolina Reyes, Juan Benito Reyes Peralta and wife, Maribel, Gerardo Reyes Peralta, Hernan Reyes Peralta and wife, Sandra, Antonio Reyes, Jr. of Altus, Moises Tovar and Christopher Tovar of De Leon, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; siblings, Luis, Genaro, Jorge, Victor, Celia, and Elvira Reyes Gaytan; special friends, Gary, Phyllis, Luke, Kelley, Jake, Issac, Grey, Rawley and Nacho Winsett; and many other family and friends.
The Reyes family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the funeral home.
