Ardron A. Hinton, 84, of Warren, Oklahoma passed away Friday morning, January 30, 2015 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Warren Church of Christ with Travis Murray and Ray Hyatt officiating. Burial will follow at the Warren Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Ardron was born March 17, 1929 to Henry Walker and Rosie Rena (Roach) Hinton in Warren, Oklahoma. He graduated from Warren High School in 1947. He attended Altus Junior College and was attending Southwestern Oklahoma State College when he was drafted to the National Guard 45th and sent to Ft. Polk, Louisiana. While in Louisiana, Ardron met and later married Jimmie Lee (Hyatt) Hinton July 29, 1957 in DeQuincy, Louisiana. He continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State College and received his BA in Elementary Education with a teaching certification in secondary Social Studies and English. He obtained his Masters Degree in Education Administration from Abilene Christian University. He taught several years in the Altus and Navajo schools. He also preached for 68 years for many Churches of Christ throughout Oklahoma and Louisiana. Mr. Hinton was a member of the Warren Church of Christ, the American Legion and Who Who's in American Colleges. He enjoyed studying history, the Bible and gardening, but his main focus in life was to teach young people the Bible and how to live a Christian life. Mr. Hinton was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rosie Hinton; one son, Tommy Hinton, one brother, Melvin Hinton and one sister, Oleta Bush. He is survived by his wife, Jimmie, of the home; one son, Mike Hinton and wife, Pam, of Blanchard, Oklahoma; special sons: Ramsey Neely and wife, Phyllis, of Atlanta, Georgia, Basil McClure and wife, Rachael, of Dennison, Texas; three grandchildren, Vanessa Hill and husband, Grant, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Stephanie Cassada and husband, Roy, of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Nick Hinton of Spokane, Washington; nine great-grandchildren, Ethan and Maisie Hill, Amy Hinton, Adam, Madeline, Penelope, Will, Bella, and Charlie Cassada; and a host of family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ardron Hinton to the Tipton Children's Home, Westview Boy's Home, the Warren Cemetery Fund and to Search.
