Barbara Gale Moore

Barbara Gale Moore, 66, Cache, was welcomed into heaven by many beloved family members and able to visit her precious pets near the rainbow bridge on Sunday, November 5, 2023, in Oklahoma City, OK. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder, OK with David Hunter officiating. The family of Barbara Moore will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Kincannon Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Barbara was born in Altus, OK on June 21, 1957 James and Barbara (Langston) Tarpley. She grew up in Snyder with her parents, two sisters, Judy Ilean Blackshere and Cynthia Diane Walker, and her brother, William Warner Tarpley.

She met her husband, Larry Joel Moore, in June of 1974 in Altus, OK and they were married on May 28, 1975. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; and had a special relationship with each and everyone that called her Momma and Mimi. She was their protector, moral compass, nurturer, and mostly best friend as well as confidant. She worked at Petal Pushers flower shop in the mid-1980s. She worked alongside her husband at Astro Rentals cleaning and repairing rental properties. She owned TJ’S Boards and Bling along with her two daughters. Every task that Barbara set out to do, she did with great determination. She loved her family and especially gathering together with them, not only during the holidays, but anytime she could as it was her most treasured thing to do.

Barbara was welcomed at the gates by her parents, James and Barbara; her mother and father-in-law, Thelma and JB Moore; her sister, Judy Blackshere; her sister-in-law, Sammye Claudette Hughlett; and her niece, Shannon Combs.

Those left to cherish her love and continue her in memory are her husband of 48 years, Larry; her daughter, Kimberly Jean Self and husband, Dustin; her son, Steven Warner Moore and wife, Dana; daughter, Rebecca Gale Dilean New; sister, Cynthia Walker and husband, Tim; and sister-in-law, Janis Kay Williams. She was loved and adored by her grandchildren, Tarran Blake Self and wife, Savannah Dawn, Kendra Sharail Moore, Jordan James Self and wife, Ashley Elizabeth, Brandon James Moore and wife, Laney Amalia, Summer Brooke Self, Camron James New, and Gracelynn Renee Moore. Her great-grandchildren include Emma Lee Self, Scarlet Brooke Self, Jason Lane Self, James Blake Self, Chase Nolan Self-Love, Dejhanna D. Smith, Aria Vannalie-Rouge Self, Wyatt James Self, Ellie Anna Smith, Kaleigha Sharail Moore, and the anticipated arrival of Lincoln James Moore; as well as numerous other family members and many friends.
