Kay Thomas, 70, passed away Monday morning, June 14, 2021 at her home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the funeral home. A private family graveside will be held at a later time in the Altus City Cemetery under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Kay was born in Wichita Falls, TX on November 13, 1950 to Felix Joe and Willie Jo Watson. On September 26, 1969, she married Johnny Frank Thomas. Kay was a realtor associate since 1988, a certified property manager, a member of the National Association of Realtors, and a member of the Altus Chamber of Commerce. She started her career at Century 21 and ended her 36-year career as the owner of Coldwell Banker Southwestern Heritage Realty.
Kay enjoyed fall foliage tours, spending time at the Artesian Hotel in Sulphur Springs, and spending time with family and friends.
Johnny and Kay were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Tammy and Mylinda. She was the Meme to Nikolas, Jenna, Rylie, Taryn, and Chloe. Momma Kay will be remembered by her big heart, contagious laugh, and her beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her parents, Felix Joe and Willy Jo, Kay is survived by husband of 51 years, Johnny Thomas; two daughters, Tammy Thomas and Mylinda Willcut and husband, Bernie; five grandchildren, Nikolas Prewitt, Jenna Prewitt, Taryn Prewitt, Rylie Crowley and Chloe Crowley; her brother, Dale Watson and his wife, Robin; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
