Bernice Christine Cribbs

Bernice Christine Cribbs, 92, Altus, passed away, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Plantation Village Nursing Home. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Adrian Marshall officiating. Bernice was born on January 11, 1918 to Samuel Woodruff and Minnie K. (DeSpain) Warden at Reed, Oklahoma. She attended school at Ozark and graduated from school at Martha, Oklahoma. She married Everett Cullen Cribbs on April 18, 1938 in Altus, Oklahoma. They spent almost 65 years of their married life in Jackson County. Everett preceded her in death on October 13, 2002. Bernice was a homemaker, who especially loved her grandchildren. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in Altus for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Everett, a brother, Kenneth Warden, and a sister, Modelle Lovett. Bernice is survived by two sons, Cody Cribbs and wife, Loretta, and Geary Cribbs and wife, Linda, all of Altus, Oklahoma; two daughters, Karen Draper of Altus, Oklahoma and Donna Mims and husband, Bob, of Fountain Hills, Arizona; grandchildren, Eric Cribbs, Trace Cribbs, Breck Cribbs, Chamisa Powers, Todd Waldroop, Parrish Netherton, Justin Waldroop, Farrah Tebow, Garret Netherton, Kade Netherton, Jimmy Rogers and Brandi Waldroop; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
