Betty Weasline Kenmore

Betty Weasline Kenmore, 82, Altus, died Friday December 4th in Altus, OK. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will follow services at the Prairie Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Betty Weasline Talley was born January 10, 1933 to Dee and Opal (Staggs) Talley in Houston, Texas. She lived in Allen, Oklahoma as a child until her family moved to Altus in 1943 where she started the 4th grade. She attended Altus Schools through her Junior year. She met Billy Kenmore in 1949 and the two of them were married on June 11, 1950 in Altus. Billy and Weasline moved to the Kenmore Farm near Duke and Weasline finished her Senior year, graduating from Duke High School in 1951. She helped Billy out on the family farm until the mid 1960s when she began work at Altus Air Force Base with Civil Service, retiring in the mid 1980s. She then worked at the Jackson County Health Department until retiring in 1995. Weasline had attended Western Oklahoma State College and was a long time member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and horses. Weasline was the High Point Woman in District 151 Horse Play Days and was a member of the American Sheriff's Posse, Red River Riders Club and a lifetime member of the Grand National Horseman Association. She loved watching her granddaughters play sports, ride horses and showing livestock.
Weasline was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tyra Talley; baby brother, George Talley; and sister, Mable Rowland.
She is survived by her husband, Billy; son, Billy Wayne Kenmore; four granddaughters, Ty Darby and husband, Drew, Shawn Porter and husband, Spencer, Haylee Kenmore and Josey Kenmore; seven great grandchildren, Harland and Haize Darby, Dalton and Reagan Porter, Ashton Polk, and Sara Jo and Cody Tate Morris; two sisters, Audrey Jackson and Catherine Caster; three brothers, Hugh Talley and wife, Jill, Dee Talley and wife, Bonnie, and Bobby Talley wife, Jane; and a host of great nieces and nephews and many friends.
The Kenmore family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
