Betty L. Wright

Betty L. Wright, 87, Eldorado, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at her home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the Eldorado Cemetery with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Martha Betty Lavell Lambert was born on July 11, 1927 in Lawn, Texas to John Wynfred and Bessie LuLu (Fincher) Lambert. After high school she attended one year of college. On November 18, 1948 Betty and Odis Ovie Wright were united in marriage in Quanah, Texas and to this union seven children were born. Betty was a housekeeper for the elderly as well as a homemaker herself. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Betty enjoyed reading, walking, watching wrestling, card games, playing dominoes and most of all she loved big family get-togethers. Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Betty Doyal and Carolyn Holt; as well as all her siblings. She was the last living relative on her and her husband’s side of the family. She is survived by two daughters, Doris Darlene Gilbert of Cross Plains, TX, Dorothy Farene Wright of Eldorado, OK; three sons, Odis Darrell Gene Wright of Tuscola, TX, Harrell Ray Wright of Hollis, OK, Michael Dean Wright of Clyde, TX; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Hospice, the Cancer Center of Southwest Oklahoma or the charity of your choice.
