B Bettye J. Bullington, 92, Gould, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the English Village Manor in Altus. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church, Gould, with Rev. Donald Altom officiating. Burial will follow at the Gould Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Bettye Jean Morris was born July 7, 1928 in Harmon County, Oklahoma to Lemuel R. and Kate V. (Brewer) Morris. She attended and graduated with the Gould High School Class of 1946. Bettye married Wallace Neff Bullington August 11, 1946 and to this union one daughter and two sons were born. She was very civic minded and eager to volunteer for any community or church project. Bettye attended the First United Methodist Church, Gould, where she taught Sunday School and served as the church secretary for many years. She enjoyed photography, sewing, scrapbooking, gardening, Thunder Basketball, OSU and OU sports as well as time spent with her family and grandchildren.
Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace; her grandson, Jeffrey Todd Bullington; her great grandson, Tyler Bullington; her sister, Ramona Baumert; and her brother-in-law, T. H. Temple.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Bullington; two sons, Terry Bullington and wife, Cindy; Tim Bullington and wife, Jana; sister, Tawana Sue Temple; eight grandchildren, Tim Bullington and wife, Kelly; Carie Ingalls and husband, Chris; Tommy Wood and wife, Linda; Shannon Duke and husband, Justin; Aaron Lacy Neugebauer; Kelly Smith and husband, Matt; Cassidy Edwards and husband, Luke; and Micah Bullington and girlfriend, Allison Ingram; and many friends. She was also blessed with 17 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
