Billie Joe Menees, 87, Blair, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the English Village Manor. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father David Joseph officiating. A Rosary Service will be at 6:00 PM at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Billie Joe Menees was born on August 6, 1934 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to John Henery and Bess Mildred (Coffman) Menees. He grew up in Webbers Falls and graduated from high school there. Billie enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954 and served two tours in Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Dixie Marie Marcotte, on May 28, 1956 in Ogden, Utah and they enjoyed over 65 years of memories together. Billie retired as a Staff Sergeant from the Air Force in 1974. He then went to work for Sears, Roebuck and Co. and worked as an appliance technician. He retired from Sears after another 25 years. Billie was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the Tornado Alley Road Riders Association. He enjoyed motorcycles and working on small engines. His greatest love was his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren.
His parents and siblings preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie, of the home; six children, Rick Menees and wife, Paula, Brenda Jo Decker and husband, James, Jr., Sheila Richards and husband, Owen, Troy Menees and wife, Jinny, Crystal Couch and husband, Ty, and J. B. Menees and wife, Melinda Kay; 20 grandchildren, Jackie, Charlie, Bobbi, Ryan, Dena, Tierra, Nyrea, Toni, Doug, Billy, Michelle, Joe, Brittany, Jeffery, William, Dallas, Johnathon, Brandon, Dylan and Alyssa; 33 great grandchildren; a niece, Cheryl Barham; a nephew, Lee McCarter; numerous other family members and a host of friends.
