Billy Ray Boyd, 51, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his home. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rose Cemetery in Hobart under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Billy Ray was born on May 1, 1964 in Perry, Oklahoma to Billy Wayne and Reta Gayle (Haining) Boyd. He met Marsha Sullins in 1986 and the two were married on September 2, 1988 in Vernon, Texas. Billy Ray worked at Boyd's Service Station in Tipton with his family for many years. For the last several years he worked as a truck driver. Billy Ray enjoyed playing his guitar, singing and camping. He was a very giving man and an excellent provider. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Chance, and a nephew, Stu.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha, of the home; three children, Chad Sullins, Brad Sullins and Gena Bennett and husband, Michael, Jr.; five grandchildren, Corbin, Madison, Adrian, Presley and Whitley; two sisters, Patricia and Tawanna; a brother, Earl; a sister-in-law, Tonya; a brother-in-law, Rick; and six nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Herring Bank in memory of Billy Ray Boyd.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
