Billy Ray "Bill" Duckworth

Billy "Bill" Ray Duckworth, 83, Altus, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the O U Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Andrew Young officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Billy Ray Duckworth was born November 29, 1932 in Vinson, Oklahoma to William and Cora D. (Barton) Duckworth. He attended school in Vinson,
Oklahoma and graduated from Ron High School, Ron, Oklahoma. Bill entered the United States Army in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1954. He continued his education at Southwestern State College earning a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Counseling. He married Sue Homer May 19, 1957. To this union three children were born. Sue preceded Bill in death on November 23, 1977. Bill married Patsy Falk on June 5, 1982. Mr. Duckworth taught in the Altus Public School system for 24 years, teaching at Washington Elementary School. He was also a school bus driver for the Altus Public School system for 40 years. Bill was a member of the Nazarene Church in Altus and enjoyed woodworking, yardwork and Oklahoma University Football.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Sue; a son, Bradley Mark Duckworth; two brothers, John and Doyle; three sisters, Lela, Jewell and Loraine..
Bill is survived by his wife, Patsy; one daughter, Kathi English and husband, Steven; one son Kevin Duckworth and wife, Belinda; two sisters, Edith Keith and Bonnie Combest; two granddaughters, Autumn Morris and husband, Stewart; and Katelynn Rangel and husband, Jaime; three great grandchildren, Skyeler Pitchford, Alexzandria Rangel and Victoria Rangel; and many friends.
The Duckworth family will greet friends Friday, July 15, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nazarene Church, 700 N. Main, Altus, OK. 73521
