Billy Ray Hudson, 84, of Blair, was called home to be with his Savior on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Trinity Holiness Church with Anthony Lester and other ministers officiating. Burial with U.S. Army Honors will follow at the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Trinity Holiness Church.
Billy Ray Hudson was born on December 31, 1936 in Fouke, Arkansas to Coy and Annie (Mitchell) Hudson. He graduated from Fouke High School in 1954 and joined the U.S. Army in May of 1955. He married the love of his life, Ouida Beasley, on August 6, 1955 in Fouke, Arkansas. He was honorably discharged from the Army in May of 1957. Billy Ray was a lifetime minister and had a heart for spreading the gospel. He ministered for over 50 years and retired in April of 2017. He used his carpentry skills to build churches, parsonages and dorms for the Glory of God. Billy Ray also enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and especially spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Annie; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Doyle House; and a son-in-law, Henry Edwards.
Billy Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ouida; his children, Teresa Edwards, Lisa Morris and husband, Rick, Cameron Hudson and wife, Helen, and Keith Hudson; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; a sister, Charlene Moore; a brother, Robert (Pitman) Hudson and wife, Vickie; a host of congregational family; and many friends.
