X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Bobby Dale Jameson, 78, Headrick, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Fernandez officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow in the Headrick Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Bobby Dale Jameson was born on April 25, 1935 in Hess, Oklahoma to Samuel Jasper and Ida Lee (Colter) Jameson. He grew up in Hess and attended Porter High School. He married Clara Gene Southward on May 23, 1957 in Headrick, Oklahoma. Bobby worked for the Lugert Altus Irrigation District as a mechanic and a ditch rider, where he delivered water to many farmers in District 8. He medically retired after 37 ½ years on the job. He served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard from 1954 until 1962. He was a longtime member of the Headrick First Baptist Church and the Headrick Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a 33rd degree Mason with the Headrick Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed working on cars, rebuilding engines, car races, and farming with his father-in-law and Darill Leverett. Bobby especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.O. and Iula Southward, four brothers, Elsie, Melvin, Roy and Sam, two sisters, Edna Baker and Estelee Howland, and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Gene, of the home; two daughters, Kim Jameson Myers of Altus, OK and Debbie Jameson of Headrick, OK; a special daughter, D.J. Acrey of Altus, OK; two sons, Robert Jameson of Altus, OK and Steve Jameson and wife, Theresa, of Headrick, OK; two grandchildren, John Myers of Elk City, OK and Kyle Jameson of Headrick, OK; two very special great grandkids, Kylie and Weslee Acrey of Lawton, OK; a brother, Jimmy Jameson and wife, Carol, of Stillwater, OK; four sister-in-laws, Vicky Jameson of Brush, CO, Pat Bynum of Rogers, AR, Donna Klingenburg of El Reno, OK, and June Westberg of El Reno, OK; a brother-in-law, Russell Arnold of El Reno, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
