Bobby Garrison, 79, Altus, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016, at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Madison Clinton officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Bobby Jean Giese was born February 21, 1937, to Robert and Mildred (Perry) Giese in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from high school in Jackson, Wyoming. Bobby and George A. Garrison were united in marriage on May 25, 1957, in Seguin, Texas. She was a military wife, supporting her husband during his many assignments. She worked at the NCO Club, where she was head cashier at the swimming pool concession and manager at the swimming pool. She worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for over 25 years, serving as a ward clerk, activities director, and the computer department IT specialist. Bobby was a lifetime member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, Altus Post # 4876. She was in charge of league bowling from 1974 to 1977; started bingo at the VFW in the 1980s; and served as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. Bobby enjoyed gardening, making and teaching ceramics, tri chem (liquid paint), crocheting afghans, crafts, playing bingo, making jewelry, and scrapbooking. She was an Avon and Tupperware representative. Bobby was always up on the latest electronics and games. She also bred miniature Schnauzers.
Bobby is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Scotty; grandsons, Ty Mathew Dobbins and Patrick Bartholomew; and step-father, Clifford Deyo.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Barbara Abway and husband, Mike, Altus; Linda Mazzone and husband, Vince, Norman; Lydia Dobbins and husband, Doug, Yukon; and Sandra Clinton and husband, Maddy, Altus; sons, Lew Bartholomew and husband, James, Canada; George Garrison and wife, Cindy, Roosevelt; and Robert Garrison and wife, Rhonda, Altus; grandchildren, Jason Dobbins, Marissa Tocknell and husband, Randy, Kinna Tutten and husband, Tim, Cale Garrison, Tori Diaz and husband, William, Nick Mazzone, Nick Garrison, Chase Garrison, Bethany Garrison, Tyler Abway, Caitlin Clinton, Alison Martinez and husband, Mitchell, and Danielle Gray; great-grandchildren, Elijah Diaz, Mason Abway, Hayven Gray, Jayden Mazzone and coming soon, Sadie Mae Tocknell. She is survived by a sister, Kitty Vincent and husband, Randall, and brothers, Kenneth Lindquist and wife, Leslie; Dennis Lindquist and wife, Kay; and Fred Deyo. She also leaves a special friend, Dahalia Espinosa.
The Garrison family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
