Bonita Elizabeth Yuhas, 78, Altus, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Boyd Whitehead and Jerry Bradley officiating. Burial will follow services 3 p.m. Saturday at the Old Midland Cemetery, Vanoss, Oklahoma under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Bonita Elizabeth Bradley was born December 21, 1936 in Vanoss, Oklahoma to Ira A. and Neoma A. (Walker) Bradley. She attended school in Vanoss, Oklahoma. She married George Yuhas on January 4, 1963 in Paris, Texas. Bonita worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital as an LPN for over 25 years. She also represented the Avon cosmetic line and enjoyed working as a seamstress as well. She was a long time member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church where she was involved in many of the church projects. She was a member of the National Republican Committee and the Christian Senior Association. Bonita and George enjoyed square dancing in their younger years. She also enjoyed fishing, sewing and all types of craft work. Bonita was very involved in politics, both at the local level as well as the national level. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Bonita is preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Neoma Bradley; sister, Daphna Pederson; two brothers, Bobby Joe Bradley and Donald Eugene Bradley; and a daughter-in-law, Roberta Maddox. She is survived by her husband, George, of Altus, OK; two sons, Gary Ray Maddox of Altus, OK; Bradley Don Maddox of Altus, OK; one daughter, Crystal Boling and husband Rodney of Altus, OK; eight grandchildren, Darrel Mark Stone of Stratford, OK; Danny Poling, Jr. and wife Katherine of Norman, OK; Frank Serna and wife Amy of Minnesota; Shane Serna and wife Priscilla of Norman, OK; Brandon Maddox of Oklahoma; Brittanie Custer and husband David of Pennsylvania; Alexis Maddox of Altus, OK; George Maddox of Ohio; a special great granddaughter, Morgan Poling, and fifteen other great grandchildren; two brothers, Butch Bradley and wife Evelyn of Stratford, OK; Jerry Dean Bradley and wife Marie of Duncan, OK; a sister, Vonda Andrews and husband Dale of Copper Canyon, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews. The Yuhas family will greet friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home.
