Bonnie Jean Zender

Bonnie Jean Zender, 71, Altus, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at her home. A memorial mass will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Sundar officiating. Inurnment will be at St. James, Minnesota at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Bonnie Jean Klaras was born on June 20, 1942 in St. James, Minnesota to Gerald J. and Eva (Bryant) Klaras. She grew up in St. James, Minnesota and graduated from high school in 1960. She married Paul Zender in St. James on July 14, 1960. She served as a dedicated military wife. They moved to Altus in 1975. Bonnie was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the NCO Wives Club. She liked reading, crafts, working in her yard and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Gerald J. Klaras. Survivors include her husband, Paul Zender, of the home; a daughter, Kathleen (Zender) Davis and husband, Patrick, of Cleveland, OH; three sons, Joseph Zender and wife, Dede, of Fort Worth, TX, Christopher Zender and wife, Sarah, of Raleigh, NC and Kevin Zender and wife, Angela, of Granite, OK; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; her mother, Eva Klaras of Georgetown, SC; two sisters, Mary Lou Roberts of Georgetown, SC and Margaret Wimmer of Las Vegas, NV; and two brothers, Gerald Klaras of Prescott, AZ and Thomas Klaras of Clinton, SC. A rosary will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 PM at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Hospice, 1204 E.
