Brenda Kay Goodson

Brenda Kay Goodson, 56, Martha, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Martha Road Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Baker and Matt Muller officiating. Cremation will follow services provided by Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Brenda Kay Sherman was born June 22, 1963 to Marvin Newton and Glenda Joy (Anderson) Sherman in Beaver, Oklahoma. She graduated from Beaver High School with the Class of 1981 and continued her education at the Burns Flat Western Technology Center where she attained her LPN license. She worked 5 years as a nurse with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and then served as a case manager for the Department of Corrections for the remainder of her career. Brenda and Mike Joe Goodson were united in marriage on February 12, 1994 at the Quartz Mountain State Lodge in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Martha Road Baptist Church, enjoyed watching her children's sports, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her husband, Mike Joe, of the home; daughters, Glenda Lavon Goodson and Mandy Kay Goodson; son, Curtis Joe Goodson; one sister, Joy Orman and husband, Lee; two brothers, Kurt McMinn and wife, Tammy; Melvin Sherman and wife, Cheryl; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Goodson; Bobby Goodson and wife, Karen; and a host of other relatives and friends.
