Calvin "Leon" DeWeese, 73, Purcell, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2015 in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, OK. Arrangements are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Leon was born on July 9, 1942 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Fate Gray and Mayme (Reece) DeWeese. He graduated from Altus High School in 1960, received his Associate's Degree from Altus Junior College in 1968 and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from East Central State University in Ada, Oklahoma. He married Sharon Kay Carroll in 1962 and later married Sharon Kay Spann in 1989. Leon was the owner and operator for DeWeese Construction Company for many years. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a 35 year member and a Shriner with the Altus Masonic Lodge # 62. Leon enjoyed woodworking, reading, camping and Dallas Cowboy football. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jerry Bob DeWeese, and his sister, Jimme F. DeWeese. Survivors include a daughter, Kim (DeWeese) Dickson and husband, Blake; a son, Calvin Leon DeWeese, II and wife, Deana; nine grandchildren, Taylor Barnes, Morgan Warrington, Taylor Warrington, Bailey Dickson, Whitney (DeWeese) Laster and husband, Joshua, and Madison, Corde, Marlee and Cable DeWeese; and five great grandchildren, Autumn, J.T., Korvin and Sialycia Laster, and Kyrsten Burke.
