Carl James Bitz

Carl James Bitz, 78, of Blair, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2024. The family will formally greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 17th. Services for Mr. Bitz will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 18th in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with pastors John Lingle, Gary Usher, and Apostle Robert Jackson officiating. Immediately following the service, burial with honors rendered by the United States Navy will take place at the Warren Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Refreshments will be served at the Warren Community Center after the committal service. 

He was born on April 26, 1946, to John and Lena (Williams) Bitz in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He graduated from Navajo High School and attended Western Oklahoma State College. Carl proudly served in the Navy and spent his life pursuing his love for farming and ranching. He found fellowship in every corner of his community, always surrounded by the people he cherished. Carl’s greatest joys in life were his cattle, his grandchildren, and being around those he loved, but his faith and commitment to his church always came first.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lena Bitz; beloved wives, Celeste (Kassing) Bitz and Margaret Elizabeth (Chambers) Moore; and brother, Ray Bitz.

Left to cherish Carl’s memory are his children, Jamey and Patti Bitz, Vince and Renee Moore, Lacresia and Bobby Oden, and Elisa and Barry White; grandchildren, Carson Bitz, Carrie Bitz, Justin and Skyler Moore, Bailey and Wayne Vance, Brandon and Jennifer Roth, Alyssa Amore, Jacob and Brittany Garcia, and Miranda Ortega; 14 great-grandchildren and one arriving soon; sister, Maydell Allen; an abundance of nieces and nephews; and many, many, other family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
