Carl Miller McCutchan, 80, Altus, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. Graveside services, with military honors, have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2014 in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma, with the Reverend Kevin Baker officiating. Burial and services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home. Carl was born May 28, 1934 to Albert and Muriel (Miller) McCutchan in Britton, Oklahoma. He graduated from Eufala High School, Eufala, Oklahoma, with the class of 1952. Carl worked his first year out of high school as a cowboy on the Frank Miller Ranches near Eufala. He enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged following two years of service. Carl attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma and graduated in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He continued his education at Kansas State University, graduating in 1962 with a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering. Carl and Jeanine Field were united in marriage on June 9, 1967 in Talequah, Oklahoma. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Rockwell International, the United States Government and the Raytheon Corporation, retiring in 2001. He was a Laymen Christian, serving as a Chaplain and as a missionary with his wife, Jeanine. The McCutchans also served with The Navigators, an international Christian organization. Carl enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting, reading, teaching the Bible and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy and Bert McCutchan; two sisters, Jean Cherry and Judy McCutchan; and Nic’s mother and a daughter-in-spirit, Heather. Carl is survived by his wife Jeanine of Altus, OK; son Robert D. McCutchan and grandson, Nic McCutchan, both of Carrollton, TX; two brothers, Robert H.
