Carlos C. Martinez, 60, Altus, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK. A memorial service is scheduled for 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chuy Lopez, Rev. Richard Reyes and Pastor Joe Tovar officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Carlos was born August 6, 1951 to Felix, Sr. and Esiquia (Cisneros) Martinez in Robstown, Texas. He married Amelia Reyes on July 1, 1975 in Altus, OK. He worked for Altus Public Schools for twenty two years. He was a member of the Casa de Adoration Church. Carlos spent his spare time tending to his vending machines around town. His great passion in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a very friendly, caring, and helpful person to everyone. Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Felix Martinez, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Amelia, of the home; his mother, Esiquia Martinez, of Altus, OK; two daughters, Marilyn Glaab and husband, Dale, of Altus, OK, and Monica Saavedra and husband, Ramiro, of Altus, OK; two sons, Moses Martinez and wife, Alma, of Altus, OK, and Michael Miguel Martinez and wife, Elizabeth, of OKC, OK; two brothers, Felix Martinez, Jr. and Fernando Martinez, both of Altus, OK; six sisters, Elizabeth Basaldua and her husband, Lasaro, of Olustee, OK, Evangelina Bradley and husband, Brian, of Lake Stevens, WA, Elvira Toro and husband, Carlos, of Las Vegas, NV, Emma Brown of Conroe, TX, Elva Babyak and husband, Mike, of Riverview, FL, and Esther Briseno and husband, Tony, of Sacramento, CA; eleven grandchildren, Alexander, Vanessa, Selene, Deana Maritza, Dalton, Jasmine, Joshua, Sandra, Katelyn, Adam and Isaiah. Carlos also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.
