Carmen Rangel-Yzaguirre, 83, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Boyd Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Carmen was born on September 17, 1928 in Robstown, Texas to Guillermo Rangel and Olivia Cedio. She was married to Eclicerio Jaimes Martinez. She and her husband worked together as farm laborers for many years. Carmen was very popular and loved by all the neighborhood kids, who they lovingly referred as “Grandma.” She loved spending time with her family. She had a sweet tooth for junk food, and also loved her loud music and sports cars. Her husbands, a son, Joe Yzaguirre, a grandson, Alfonso Perez, and a brother, Guillermo Rangel, Jr., preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Yolanda Perez and her partner, Faustino Arzola, of Altus, OK; her grandchildren, Carmen Azlin and husband, Charles, of Altus, OK, Arthur Rangel of Fort Worth, TX, Stephanie Rangel- Lara and husband, Hector, of Fort Worth, TX, Meleney Rangel-Meza and husband, Jose, of Fort Worth, TX, and several other grandchildren; five great grandchildren, Olivia, Angelica, Alex, Lea and Fatima; and a sister-in-law, Elena Rangel of Fort Worth, TX.
