Carrie Mae Phillips, 66, Altus, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Carrie Mae was born on September 27, 1948 in Hurtsboro, Alabama to Mary Rogers and Eddie Lee Davis. She married William Phillips in Orlando, Florida on July 5, 1965. Carrie worked as a Convenient Store Clerk for many years before retiring. She was a member of the St. John's Baptist Church. Carrie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her parents and a brother, Sam Rogers, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, William, of the home; two daughters, Andrea Downey of Grand Prairie, TX and Angela Guyton and husband, Tony, Altus, OK; three sons, William Z. Phillips and wife, Brenda, of Fort Worth, TX, Kevin Lynn Phillips of Springtown, TX and Jesse E. Phillips and wife, Sheri, of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Michael and Kisha Downey, Shauntel Phillips, Tavares Bonner and wife, Valaree, Kevin Phillips, Jr., Katy Phillips, Jordan Phillips, Jordan Guyton, Omar Nails, Andrea Bridges, Jonathan Nails and Joshua Betts; great grandchildren, Skye Bonner, Titan Bonner, Jaiden Bridges, Amarra Byington and URiah Bridges; and brothers and sisters, Willie Rogers and wife, Cheryl, of Orlando, FL, Jimmie Rogers and wife, Princess, of Hurtsboro, AL, Charlotte Lowe of Orlando, FL, Arthur Lee Smith of Valdosta, GA, Undrill Rogers of Orlando, FL, Anthony Rogers of Orlando, FL, Dana Rogers Moore and husband, Jimmy, of Columbus, GA, and Willie Davis, Joe Nathan, John Henry, Dessie Davis, Eddie Davis, Robert Davis, Tyrone Davis, Corrine Collins, Corrine Rogers, Juanita Usher and Luleen Johnson, all of Hurtsboro, AL. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
