Charlene Rich

Charlene Rich, 66, passed away at her home in Altus, Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel, with Justin Wilson and John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Charlene Bundy was born July 21, 1947 to Lee and Iola (Brandstatt) Bundy in Kingman, Arizona. Charlene graduated high school in Tulsa, OK. She continued her education and attained her Certificate of Stenography. Charlene and Douglas Rich were united in marriage on September 20, 1969 in Frederick, OK. She worked at the Bunker Hill Drug Store sixteen years from 1977 to 1993. Charlene worked at Friendship Inn for twenty years from 1994 to 2014 as a desk clerk. Charlene loved church work; craftwork; making jewelry; crocheting; painting; the great outdoors hunting and fishing with Doug and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Lela Clayton. She is survived by husband Douglas of the home; daughter Rebecca Phillips and husband Chuck of Altus, OK; son, Michael Dixon of Altus, OK; three grandchildren, Dustin Dixon, of Pinrose, CO; Daphne and Delani Dixon, both of Woodward, OK; two step-grandchildren, April Sanders of Pinrose, CO; Derek Wilson and wife Sadie of Redlands, CA; one brother, Banton Emmons and wife Sue of Broken Arrow, OK; and a host of friends. The Rich family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 15, 2014 in the Kincannon Funeral Home Gathering Room.
