Charles Mikeal “Mike” Davis, 68, of Blair, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in Hollis, Oklahoma. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 6th at the Blair First Baptist Church with Pastor Tyler McDowell officiating. Burial will follow at the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Mike was born on January 24, 1955 to George Harold “Bubb” and Wanda Jean (Smith) Davis. He attended Blair School and graduated with the Class of 1973. He married the love of his life, Shearl Long, on August 14, 1980 in Altus and to this union two adored children were born, Crystal and Mickey. Mike loved being outdoors all his life, especially hunting. He worked at Quartz Mountain State Park and he and Shearl raised cattle together. Shortly after his retirement, his son, Mickey was involved in a tragic car accident. From that point Mike dedicated the rest of his life to being a loyal and devoted caregiver to Mickey.
His children and grandchildren brought Mike so much joy. He was a proud father and grandfather. Although Mike was an avid and life-long OU Sooner’s fan, he would rather watch his grandkids play whatever sport the season allowed for at the time.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Bubb and Wanda; father and mother-in-law, Paul Edward and Evelyn (Howard) Long; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Wallace and Terry Winters; and his niece, Misty Wallace.
Those left to honor Mike’s memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Shearl; daughter, Crystal and husband, Tyler McDowell; son, Mickey Davis; three grandchildren, Kanin, Sadie, and Cooper McDowell; siblings, Elaine Wallace, Phyllis Winters, and Gene Davis and wife, Kathleen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
