Charles “Lynn” Garrison, 69, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, February 06, 2013 at his home. Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be 2:00 PM Friday in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Lynn Rudd and Mark Haught officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Lynn was born on June 22, 1943 on a farm south of Altus, Oklahoma to Guy William and Winnie Lee (Spraggins) Garrison. He grew up in the Jackson County area and farmed the majority of his life in Elmer and south of Altus. He married Linda Barnes on June 21, 1967 in Texas. Lynn was a member of the Yeldell Masonic Lodge #196 and the Elmer United Methodist Church. He loved playing pranks and spending time with his great grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Mitz Lynn Habben and husband, David, of Luther, Oklahoma, and Shoya Suzehane Garrison of Altus, Oklahoma; a son, Randy Garrison, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; an adopted son, Pedro Resendis and his wife, Sara, of Altus, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Tessica Mitchell and husband, Sammy, of Luther, Oklahoma, Brittany Babb of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Del Habben and wife, Sabrina, of Luther, Oklahoma, and Dani Garrison Murry of Altus, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren, Gracin, Braxton, Trinity and Garret; a brother, Roy Garrison, of Altus, Oklahoma; a sister, Patsy Crawford, of Duke, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Mike Leverett of Lexington, Oklahoma, and a special niece, Marlena Eggleston of Quanah, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Lynn’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice. Additional parking for the service will be in the lot behind the funeral home, Western Sizzlin’ to the North and Best Western to the South.
