Charlotte Louise Leeson, 83, Olustee, OK passed away early Friday morning, September 16, 2011 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, September 19, 2011 at the old Olustee Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Louise was born on November 11, 1927 in Oella, Maryland to Benjamin Orville and Carrie Marie (Lively) Mellor. She graduated from Howard County High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the Peabody Conservatory studying opera. She married Denver Cook on July 19, 1948 in Frederick, Maryland. He died on December 4, 1984. She then married Gaino Leeson on March 18, 1994 at the Olustee Methodist Church. She was a member of the Olustee Methodist Church, the Local Association of Mature People, which met at the Friendship Inn, and the Jackson County Extension Homemakers. She enjoyed singing in church, at weddings, and funerals. She loved spending time gardening, cooking, travelling, country rides, and watching wildlife in nature. She was also an artist and painter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Denver Cook, one grandson, one brother, two sisters, and one son-in-law, Jack Armstrong. Mrs. Leeson is survived by her husband, Gaino, of the home; four daughters, Joyce Fox and husband , David, of Memphis, TN, Darlene Reid and husband, Wayne, of Upton, CA, Beth Wright and husband, Bruce, of Evansville, IN, and Becky Armstrong of Altus, OK; one son, Buzz Cook of Bedford, IN; one brother, Paul Mellor and wife, Kathrine, of Baltimore, MD; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of friends. The family will host a visitation for family and friends from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Kincannon Funeral Home.
