Charlotte Nancy Hunt, 79, Altus, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014, at English Village Manor in Altus, Oklahoma. A reception will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, September 29, 2014 in the Kincannon Gathering Room. Inurnment will take place in the Veterans Section of the Altus City Cemetery at a later date. Cremation and services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home. Charlotte was born to Ernst and Alice (Kimball) Maynard on September 29, 1934 in Appleton, Wisconsin. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1952. After graduation, she served her country in the United States Air Force. She was honorably discharged in 1957 with the rank of A/2C Private. Charlotte and Doyle E. Hunt were united in marriage on July 15, 1957 in Denver, Colorado and to this marriage two sons were born. Charlotte worked at Johnnie’s Steak house in the 1970’s and was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting; crocheting; needlepoint; reading; and spending time with her dogs. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Kenneth, Kermit, Myron, William and Melvin Maynard; five sisters, May Alice Eggert, Marion Chapman, Edith Hopkins, Shirley Baetz and Rose Marie Pasholk. She is survived by her two sons, Doyle Hunt of New Orleans, Louisiana and John D. Hunt of Altus, Oklahoma; and one brother, Robert Maynard and wife, Ann, of Orlando, Florida.
