Christopher George Austin Crafton, 40, Altus, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his home. Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date in Altus and Amarillo, Texas. Cremation services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home of Altus, Oklahoma. Christopher was born on July 30, 1973 in Fort Worth, Texas to George and Reba (Grider) Crafton. He grew up in Hereford, Texas on the Sugarland Feed Yards. He graduated from Tascosa High School, Amarillo, Texas in 1991. He continued his education at Tucumcari Area Vocational Technical School in Tucumcari, New Mexico in 1992 and Highlands University in 1993. Christopher married Carrie Caudill on October 31, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas. He worked for many years as a private care giver in people’s homes. Christopher was a computer tech most of his adult life. He enjoyed working on computers and playing guitar. He also enjoyed his relationship with his gamer friends and spending time with his family. Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Howard and Vera Watson, and his grandmother, Belle Rose. He is survived by his wife, Carrie, of Altus, OK; his father, George Crafton of Altus, OK; his mother and stepfather, Reba and Larry Hayes of Amarillo, TX; his father and mother-in-law, Mac and Janice Caudill of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter, Britney Crafton of Abilene, TX; six sons, Michael Burkey of Pennsylvania, C. Alaric Caudill of Altus, OK, Christopher George Austin Crafton, II of Abilene, TX, Jared Licon of Pueblo, CO, Caleb Crafton of Altus, OK, and Phoenix Crafton of Altus, OK; and close family friends, Andy and Sandy Licon; and many other friends.
