Claude S. Ross, Jr., 87, Altus, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. A celebration of life will be scheduled at 1:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Altom officiating. Services have been entrusted to the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Claude S. Ross, Jr. was born December 21, 1928 to Claude S. and Betsy (Davis) Ross in North Hollywood, California. He graduated high school and served his country in World War II with the United States Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged after four years. Claude and Ruth Bacon were united in marriage on November 12, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA. Ruth preceded Claude in death on February 4, 2006. He worked for several years and was a supervisor for Hydro Conduit Company. He loved camping, fishing and working in his yard.
Claude is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth, a son, Scott Ross, and a sister.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Ross and wife, Sherri, and Billy Ross; a daughter, Lori Sherman and husband, Randy; eighteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.
