Clayton Mabry Nall, 82, lifelong resident of Altus, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial with Air Force Honors will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Clayton was born on June 6, 1930 to Lancett and Daisy Dean (Smith) Nall in Altus, Oklahoma. After high school, he served his country in the United States Army until 1952 and went into the United States Air Force in 1956, finally leaving his military obligations in 1961. Clayton and Verna Joan Osborne were united in marriage on March 16, 1964 in Altus, OK. She preceded him in death on April 17, 1994. He was a heavy equipment operator for Jackson County District 1 for thirteen years, retiring in 1990. Clayton was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion. He was a simple man and an avid sports fan. He enjoyed tinkering around his house. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Dennison Lee Nall, Lancett Lynnwood Nall and Jack Nall, and two stepchildren, Marla and Steve Heckendorf. He is survived by one son, Clayton R. “Randy” Nall of Lawton, OK; a brother, James F. Nall of Horseshoe Bay, TX; a sister, Jo Dene Tidwell of Kingsland, TX; his friend and mother of his son, Sue; and many nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, 101 E. Commerce, Altus, OK 73521. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
