Consuelo Perez Moncada

Consuelo Perez Moncada, 84, Altus, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Wickersham officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Consuelo Perez was born on March 5, 1930 in Anson, Texas to Salvador and Santos (Salindo) Perez. She married Aberaldo Moncada on October 15, 1950 in Anson, Texas. She worked as a homemaker all her life and worked for Billeting at Altus Air Force Base. She volunteered on base at the Goodwill store before she became sick. Consuelo loved sewing blankets and making hot sauce for her kids and grandkids. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Mosley, Connie Hernandez and Margie Martinez; four sons, Juan, Aberaldo, Jr., Ernest and Salvador Moncada; a nephew who was raised like a son, Frank Munoz; 25 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; a sister, Catalina Ybarra; a brother, Salvador Perez; and several other nieces and nephews. Rosary services will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
