Coy Edgar Parsons, 65, Headrick, passed away on Monday, February 07, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel in Altus. Burial with Air Force Honors will follow at the Navajoe Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Coy Edgar Parsons was born on November 13, 1945 in Gilmer County, West Virginia to Coy Elmer and Marie (McCullough) Parsons. He graduated from Sand Fork High School in West Virginia. He married Becky Kay Batchelor on August 19, 1966 in Humphreys, Oklahoma. He entered the United States Air Force October 5, 1965 and was honorably discharged on February 14, 1969. Mr. Parsons also attended Western Oklahoma State College. He worked as a locksmith for civil service at the Altus Air Force Base. He retired in May of 2009. Coy was an avid golfer who enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing with his grandkids, and watching wrestling on T.V. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Tina Marie Parsons of Lawton, Oklahoma, and a granddaughter they raised like a daughter, Cassandra Marie Doresey and her husband, Bud, of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sons, David Parsons and his wife Melisa of Warren, OK; Joey Parsons and his wife Norma of Altus, OK; five grandchildren, Jacob Parsons, Crystia Parsons, J.D. Parsons, Austin and Adam Meza; a great grandson, Colby Doresey; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Dean White of Nicut, West Virginia; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Kathy Parsons of Chloe, West Virginia; and many friends and cousins.
