Curtis Ray Black, 53, of Ward, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 20, 2017. The family will greet friends for a viewing / reception at Kincannon Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma on Wednesday, May 24th from 6:00-8:00PM. Cremation services will follow the reception provided by Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Curtis Ray Black was born to Percy “George” and Joye (Lawton) Black on December 13, 1963 at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington DC. He attended Altus High School then attended vocational school. Later in life, he worked for Garage Door Services in Oklahoma City for many years. His greatest achievement in life was his daughter, Joye. Curtis was of the Christian faith and his hobbies included upholstery, fishing and motorcycles.
Curtis is preceded in death by his mother, Joye Black and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Malissa Black, of Wewoka; daughter, Joye Mae Black, of Altus; father, Percy “George” Black, of Altus; sister, Jana Lynn Edwards and her husband, Doug, of Altus; brother, Kenneth William Black, of Oklahoma City; niece Erica Katseres, and husband, Nicholas, of Birmingham, AL; great niece, Percy Sloan Katseres; great nephew, Kassius Speros Katseres, along with many other family members and friends.
