Daniel "Maynard" Lopez

Daniel “Maynard” Lopez, 54, Olustee, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A rosary is scheduled for 3:30 PM Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel.
Daniel Lopez was born on March 12, 1968 in Altus, Oklahoma to Margarito and Hortencia (Galicia) Lopez. He grew up in Olustee and graduated from Olustee High School with the class of 1986. Daniel worked in construction for most of his life as a home builder. He worked for Western Oklahoma State College in the maintenance division for 10 years but always had a passion for woodworking. Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his classic rock music. He loved his dogs and truck and cherished the times spent with his granddaughter, especially at the park.
His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Chelsea Blackshere; a son, Anthony Lopez and partner, Criscinda Perez; the mother of his children, Lori Ornelas; Poppy to granddaughter, Brooklyn Miller; his mother, Hortencia Lopez; a brother, Rojelio “Roger” Lopez and wife, Jennie; two sisters, Margarita Fixico and husband, Eagle, and Maggie Garcia; and many other family members and friends.
