Daniel R. Suniga, 85, Altus, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, June 8, 2020 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Daniel was born July 22, 1934 in Edcouch, Texas to Candelario and Francisca (Reyes) Suniga. Daniel married to Esther Escobedo in Hereford, Texas. He was a farm laborer most of his life and worked at Target in Wichita, Kansas. Daniel enjoyed fishing and listening to music. He loved his family dearly and will be sorely missed.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Esther; two sons, Adam and Emilio Suniga; daughter, Lucy Suniga; three sisters, Juanita Carbajal, Dominga Martinez and Guadalupe Garcia; and a brother, Reymundo Suniga.
Survivors include several sons and daughters including Fidensio Suniga of Altus, OK, Eva Suniga, Adela Suniga, and Magdaleno Suniga, all of San Angelo, TX, and Serena Stone, Virginia Davis, Lisa Bales, Gen Hernandez, Fernando Hernandez, Everett Suniga, Priscilla Suniga, Lydia Suniga and Melissa Pearson, all of Wichita, KS; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Guadalupe Ramirez of Olustee, OK and Candelario Vargas of Amarillo, TX; and many other family and friends.
