Darren Ray Pratt, 61, of Altus, passed away the evening of November 19, 2022 at his home. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 26th at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Darren was born on May 6, 1961 in Mangum, Oklahoma to William ‘Bill’ Allen Pratt and Carolyn Jean Billington. He married Melita Lukas Hawkey on January 4, 2010 in Vernon, Texas. Darren was a graduate of Blair High School in 1979. He worked throughout Altus Air Force Base in various capacities since he was 16 years old. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In his free time, he loved working on cars and spending time outdoors. He was always willing to give a helping hand and go the extra mile for anyone he came across. Darren was a gentle giant and a man of few words. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Darren was preceded in death by his father, Bill Pratt; mother, Carolyn and husband, Jerry Illies; grandparents, Leonard Pratt, Zula Pratt, Otis Billington, and Verna Billington.
He is survived by his wife, Melita Hawkey; children, Joshua Pratt, Stephanie Bonnin and husband, Luke Hobbs, Yvonne Hawkey and Darrell Naff, Jessica Hawkey and Walter Watkins, Patrick Hawkey and wife, Charlotte, Catherine Dollins and husband, Kyndell, Mary Ann Perez and husband, Carlos, Trevor Pratt, and bonus son, Nathan Estep; his brothers; Brian Pratt and wife, Sharon and Allen Pratt and wife, Maura; extended family, Elizabeth Miller, Michael Illies, Michelle Burrell, and Stephen Illies; 15 grandchildren, Michael, Destiny, Antonio, Dominique, Jayden, Donovan, Kade, Kaidyn, Dalayla, Blake, Kayson, Ethan, Jeremiah, Gabriella, and Kloee; cousin, Gina; and many other relatives and loving friends.
