Darrick Lavon Jones

Darrick Lavon Jones, 38, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his Altus home. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Bishop James Laws officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Darrick was born on February 17, 1979 in Altus, Oklahoma, to Earnest Ray and Annetta (Stevenson) Jones. He attended Altus Public Schools and Western Oklahoma State College where he played basketball. Darrick worked as a cook. He enjoyed cooking and coaching and refereeing basketball.

Darrick was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents; his mother, Annetta (Stevenson) Jones; his aunt, Reta Mae Jones; and his uncle, Bennie Alexander.

Survivors include his two daughters, Taryn Lambert and Ariana Rose Henderson; his son, Javion Jones; father, Earnest Ray Jones; brothers, Dwight Stevenson, Timothy Jones and wife, Yesenia, and Mark Jones; uncles, Edward Jones and wife, Marcy, JC Jones and wife, Joan, Glennon Pickens and wife, Nadine, Clifton Jackson and wife, LaWanda, Arber Jean Murray and wife, Sally, Donald Ray Stevenson, Lindsey Stevenson, Willie Stevenson, Gary Stevenson; aunts, Jurlene Alexander, Ethel Louise Jones, Loretta Laws and husband, James, Gloria Jean Pickens and Flora West; nieces and nephews, Tyrique Jones, Trayron Jones, Tyara Jones, Timothy Jones, Jr., Kason Jones, Tacaria Jones, Taliyah Jones, DaKeith Jones, Isaiah Jones, Loyalty Jones, Dwight Stevenson, Tia Stevenson, and numerous other family and friends.
