David Allen Rowles

David Allen Rowles, 48, Blair, died Friday, October 07, 2011, peacefully at his home with his family surrounding him. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, October 9, and from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral services with Air Force honors will be 7:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. David was born on April 30, 1963 in Lewistown, Pennsylvania to Randall and Elsie Lou (Stryker) Rowles. He graduated from Lewistown high school and received his Associates Degree for the Community College of the Air Force. He married Rhonda S. Hewitt on June 17, 1988 in North Charleston, South Carolina. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed on active duty at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey for four years. He served in the Active Reserves for 21 years and worked in civil service for 24 years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting and fishing. His paternal grandfather and his wife, Paul J. and Charlotte Rowles, his paternal grandmother, Edna Rowles, and his maternal grandparents, Wallace and Ester Stryker, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda, of the home; a son, Paul J. Rowles of the home; a daughter, Chantelle M. Vaughan of Bloomfield, Missouri; two granddaughters, Aurora M. Hampton and Revellee C. Vaughn, both of Bloomfield, Missouri; his parents, Randall and Elsie Rowles of Lewistown, Pennsylvania; a brother, Paul Rowles and his wife, Angie, of Lewistown, Pennsylvania; and a sister, Sue Fortson and her husband, Donald L. Fortson, Jr., of Mount Union, Pennsylvania.
