David M. Lynch, 71, Altus, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home. Graveside services with full military honors will be 9:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Local arrangements are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home in Altus. David Michael Lynch was born on July 12, 1943 in Plattsburgh, New York to John Charles and Eleanor (VanKeuren) Lynch. He graduated from Bristol High School, Bristol, Connecticut in 1961. He had also attained an Associates of Arts Degree at WOSC in Altus. He entered the United States Air Force in September of 1961 and was retired in September of 1989 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He had served as the Director of Personnel and Administrative Services. He married Sudjai Soonthayagorn on April 29, 1977 in Belleville, IL at Scott Air Force Base. David also served as a police dispatcher at the Altus Police Department for nine years. David was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed golf and tennis. He walked 10 miles every morning between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. because that was “the most peaceful time of the day. It gave me time to think and to pray.” David is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Daniel Patrick Lynch. He is survived by his wife, Sudjai, of the home; stepfather, Frank DiCrosta of Beverly Hills, FL; two daughters, Karen Lynch of Ocala, FL and Audrey Lynch of Palatine, IL; a brother, Charles Lynch and wife, Lore, of Pemberton, NJ; and two grandchildren, Abigail and Carter Lynch, both of Ocala, FL.
