David Maupin

David Wayne Gordon Maupin, lovingly known as "Boy", was born February 10, 1967, to David and Doris Maupin in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He departed this life November 6, 2024, at the age of 57.

He graduated from Southside High School in 1985. David excelled in basketball where he still is in the top twenty of all time scorers in the state of Oklahoma. David had many interests including fishing, chicken fighting, going to the casino, playing softball, bowling, and watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon.  

On February 14, 2012, David and Tonya Tate were united in marriage.

He was currently employed at Moss Seat Covers in Tulsa where he had been for the last twenty-five years.

David is survived by his wife, Tonya Maupin; one son, Caleb Maupin; mother, Doris Maupin; two sisters, Debbie Moore and husband, Thomas and Denise Sadler and husband, Ronnie; one brother, Doug Maupin; eight grandchildren, Caden Maupin, Sya Winters, Briana LeCount, Sadie Mooneyham, Blaise Mooneyham, Ember Winters, and Ronan Mooneyham; seven nephews and nieces; nine great nephews and nieces; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, David; and sister-in-law, Lisa Maupin.

The family will greet friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 16th at Kincannon Funeral Home. Online tributes may be made at www.kincannonfuneralhome.com.
